Master Brewers
Here's mom bottling her first stout! I had a bit of catching up to do last night on my brewing. I have not done much in the last week. Last night we made 60 bottles of stout which was meant to come out tasting like guinness. It tasted pretty good last night, not perfect, but give it a few weeks and it should be good to go.

Desert
I had to put this picture up. Its an apple pie desert that Jane made for us last night. The other lads got it on regular plates, but we have this one plate that Feargal O Dhornáin "acquired" from a pizzeria in Italy and brought back in hand luggage for me last year which has my name on it. Grand big pizza plate which has seen many a good meal presented on it.

Pat in Perth
Not sure if you have seen this yet, but my mom has a blog too: http://suzukipat.blogspot.com/ and yes, I am robbing a lot of her pictures for my blog....
The Black Velvet Band
Heres Jane, Adam and Me (with a questionable bow hold) playing our weekly gig in the Jarrahdale Tavern. Nice Irish bar in the middle of nowhere. Had a great weekend with the mother. She is having a great time here. Unfortunatly the weather has taken a turn and the winter has kicked in. Some showers today with a high of 19 but should be ok for the rest of the week. Ideal golfing weather.

Supermom Arrives
Not the best of photos (camera phone) but here is a quick one of the lads (Mom & George and their friends Jack & Vera) arriving in Perth this morning. The plane landed at 1230, but Mom forgot about all the fruit in her luggage so they were detained for a while (sticklers on bringing in anything that has grown outside the country here for fear of foot'n'mouth etc)
We drove out to where they are staying (25 mins from town) a beautiful place right on the beach and 15 mins from 3 major golf courses and about an hour from where the Johnnie Walker Classic was on a few months ago.
We are having a big BBQ at our place today and once the jet lag wears off in a few days we will commence with the royal tour of Perth.
Eamon Heads Home
After a 4 weeks of sampling everything Perth has to offer (including destroying at least 1 phone per week in a never ending variety of odd events) Eamon Nash departed on his long journey home, back to Melbourne and then off home through America. Those 4 weeks Absolutely flew! See ya in Cork at christmas Eamon.

Departure for the lads
Well, it was a fery short 3 weeks. The lads left today, still slightly hungover and smelling oddly of korean cuisine. It was a great 3 weeks with the lads, we got up to all sorts of shenanigans in Perth, doing all the sights and taking advantage of any situation to have a BBQ and beers. Supermom is arriving in a week so we get to do it all over again!

Feeding the Wildlife
Hello guys
Here is a few snaps from the weekend. It was an all BBQ affair this weekend, 1 BBQ on Saturday and 2 on Sunday, one of which was in a national park/forrest. Here is a picture of Margaret and Hugh enjoying some australia shaped biscuits before we headed off for the day:
Here is margaret feeding some green birds (forgot their name, but they sound a bit like R2D2)
Here is one of Hugh feeding a kookaburra from his hand. They swoop down and grab the food. Noisy wee feckers too!
Here is Margaret feeding bread to some kangaroos around the back of the pub in the park.
All in all twas another fantastic weekend. Plenty of outdoor activities and plenty of beer & food. Not a bad combination.

Supermom Strikes again
Here is mom in the new school of music. Some of the staff went in yesterday and tested the rooms acoustically, made suggestions to the engineers and got the place sounding all prim and proper. All my years of college to try to get a job with sisk and there is mom sporting their new summer season 2006 hi-vis shirt and steel toecapped boots!
