The Ozzie Zoo
There are a few zoo's in Perth and this one we went to last week only houses Australian animals. Birds, marsupials, reptiles, the works. Most of them are really friendly and its ok to go and pet them. Here is jane with a Wombat. These wee fellas can get up to a speed of 40kph when required and are marsupials, like kangaroos they keep their young in a pouch.
Hally & The Punto
For all of you who know me, you probably know of, or have met on a few occasions, my buddy Mick Hally (he looks a bit like Mitch from Baywatch). Have a look at this website, and check out what his brother is doing for the new year. I bought my first car from his brother Bryan, a fiat punto, best car I ever drove. Well Bryan is going to be driving from Cork to Africa in a Fiat Punto with a max value of 100 bucks and a back seat full of spare parts. Best of luck to the Piston Broke team and I home the Punto gets you there in one piece.
Happy Birthday El Presidente
Here he is, El Presidente, master viola player, legendary porterhouse front-man and singlehandedly keeping a thunderous flow on murphys taps nationwide Finbarr Townsend (the extra r is for aaarrrrrr). Twas his birthday the other day and this is him cutting his cake. He did a fantastic job of documenting the recent international hour of power day here and also keeps a mean CSMAU site up and running, you should check it out www.csmau.com

Finns Christening
Greatest gig this year
So, Jane, Michelle and I are a fairly regular ensemble of Tres Classique. We do our fair share of gigs around the greater Perth area, but this most recent one was pretty spectacular. It was in the underwear department of David Jones, an ozzie Brown Thomas, and appart from it being a novel way to spend a saturday morning, it was a virtually pointless gig.
Here I am, proudest viola player in all the land, with my vast selection of bra's.

Feargal joins us down under
Feargal arrived in Perth yesterday and is staying for a few weeks. Here he is sporting a glass of homebrew and a picture of Colm Mac Cathlaoich from the Irish times a few months ago. Classic!
We couldn't believe our eyes when Feargal opened one of his many suitcases. This one was the best "Red Cross packages" which has ever been dispatched to these shores. There was even a 10 pack of Meanies, outstanding work!

The Kegerator Is Complete
Here it is dudes. The finished product. Jane did a fantastic job of spray painting the keg-fridge yesterday and we shuffled it into place last night.
I still have a few small things to do such as install a subtle but effective drip tray and eventually install another tap but other than that its working away fantastically!
So here it is. Some glasses on the top shelf, nice and chilled, 2 kegs (1 stout and 1 lager) ready to go and two more in the brewery bubbling away as backup, a few bottles of my XXX strenght beer for special occasions, some champagne, some tonic for our collection of gin and last but not least, 2 bottles of lucozade (rare to get in australia) for if you have a hangover.
