New Jacket

I got a new coat the other day, it arrived in the post, i got it from this crowd: http://www.scottevest.com/ It has 19, yes, 19 pockets, and it came with an instruction manual.

It has a ridiculous amount of pockets, but it ensures that everything you could imagine has a place. Ideal for travelling or if you are just a gadge freak like me you have a home for everything. My personal favourite is the PAN (Personal Area Network) where you can wire the jacket up, there are little holes and conduits all over it for running wires from one pocket to another, and it even has two mini pockets in the collar for your headphones when they are not in use.

Star Burger

I called up to my favoourite burger bar last night, Novembar, for a bite. Here is the genius behind it all exhibiting his star burger. He was telling me about a bunch of guys coming in on Friday to try their hand at the extreme chilli burger, he has had 28 challengers in a row fail to finish this concoction. He uses the stringest chilli's on the market (and I reckon a little bit of mace also)

Intermediate Ensemble

Here is a photo of one of my small orchestras at school, they are a great little bunch who success at ensemble playing through a delicate balance of musical instruction and bribery with chocolate.

New cereal

For the last few years I have been a big fan of cheerios as a breakfast cereal, nice and crunchy and tasty, that was until last week when I took a gamble on this stuff, Nutri-Grain. See the photo of that guy in the corner of the box? well, thats exactly how much energy you have after eating a few bowls of this stuff. Its great, tastes nice and gives your morning a real kickstart.

The auto-fiddle

We had our first trial-run of the auto-fiddle at the weekend, it happily played the discography of Bob Dylan for 8 hours, welcoming guests and setting the vibe, and looking really cool whilst doing it.

Kerbside collection

I went shopping for ink the other day as our printer was getting low, and it was actually cheaper to buy a whole new printer complete with ink cartriges installed already! What a country! So the old printer is off on new adventures.....

From the ashes ...

Time travelling.....

Check out this site www.nearmap.com. Click on ‘personal use’, then enter a street address and just like google maps it will show you
the aerial photo BUT then you can go back in time (3 years or so) using the series of ‘dots’ on thetop right section.

The day after our wedding, note lots of cars and portaloo

The week before the tree came down

The tree in chunks on the left of the garden

And the most recent, no tree at all.

Semi-automatic violin

We have had an old half size violin at the back of a wardrobe for the last few years and it is of no use to us, so last sunday, whilst enjoying a cold beer on the verandah, i got out the leatherman tool and dismantled a set of speakers and popped them in the back.

Here you can see the speaker assembly, the pod and also a bit of computer RAM to make it look futurey, of course its all held together with duct tape and velcro... not the prettiest sawing job as I was in a rush to prepare for a gig that evening, but I intend to tidy it up next weekend.

Here you can see the two speaker cones right behind the f-holes

And here it was last night at its premiere recital at 228 The Strand
