Ice cream with Finn

Patent pending...

A viola student of mine is finding it impossible to keep her bow straight, we spend half an hour perfecting it and the next week she is back with a terrible bow position again, so a quick tear around a nutrigrain box with my leatherman and I came up with this.

So no excuses for next weeks lesson....
UPDATE: www.bowzo.co.uk looks like someone got there before me

Aqwa with finn

We went to AQWA with Finn at the weekend, of course his friend Thomas was there.

Here he is with Jane at the touch pool getting his hands wet looking for star-fish

gigstand

I 'modified' an old music stand at the weekend to hold my violin and a beverage for gigs, and the stand folds up and can be held b the drawstrings on the outside of my yamaha gigbag. Dowtchaboy!

Projecto-phone

Well, what have we here, a box of tea, a leather pouch and a phone....

Well, in the teabox is my pico-projector and its ridiculous assortment of wires and connections and the leather wallet contains my wireless bluetooth full size keyboard. Why am I telling you all this?

Heres the reason, i can now lsiten to music and check the weather/internet on the wall! Its fantastic. I do need to get a shorter wire for the phone/projector connection, but other than that it works fantastically. I have watched a few movies on it now, and the quality is great as long as there is not much ambient light. These photos were all taken at daytime and the image is clear enough.

Here is a photo, of the wall, taken by the camera application on the phone, then projected ONTO the wall, again further evidence into how to waste time with technology.......

Novembars

Remember that burger place I really like, well i went there the other night and had a read off his chilli burger challenger book. It is an ATOMIC chilli burger which leaves 99% of people retiring in pain after one bite, below is a testamonial from one unlucky challenger.

Here is his latest burger challenge

And here are his new 3D menu's. Genius.

New pizzeria

Check out the new pizzeria which opened up near our place, if you dress like a superhero on mondays you get a free pizza, and they have a lottery wheel in there, which if you spin you have a chance of getting 50% off or even another pizza. Mighty craic.

Midnight on the quays

Here is the view 14 pints of beamish later, on a tuesday night in cork, not a soul to be seen.

Ah, de beamish

I was never a big fan of beamish but after a few pints of the good stuff in callannans i was a convert. Yum.

Ah, the obligatory novelty giant beer shot. Here is Tristen enjoying fourteen gallons of corks finest.

Dee Frost and Steve enjoying the craic.

And here is a first person persepective of Tristen getting awarded the "Golden T", for outstanding beamish-ness appreciation.

More ireland snaps

Here we are in the farm gate having 'lunch'. Notice the noble head of Gerry Kelly in the background

And the holy grail of Cork, KC's chipper. Here I am with my second creole of 2010, bliss!

Who can argue with that bounty of fried goodness

And here we all are in the park around the corner looking almost as dodgy as the guy in the pink hat who was practicing pitch'n'putt near us.

Ireland Pics

I just came across a whole load of photos from when we were in Ireland a few weeks ago. Here I am enjoying a beer at Fionns approx 10 minutes after landing.

Here is Steve and I setting up the projector for a few episodes of family guy

Hahaha, success, Fionn's back wall is now corks first outdoor cinema. The camera flash of course washed out all projected images.
