Weekly Reilly Gazette

In keeping with tradition of being the worlds most photographed dog, here is Reily on one of her walks last week. The 'burb where we live has a lot of parks nearby so we are never more that 5 mins away from letting her have a real tear around a field chasing sticks.

I was doing a gig the other day in a resteraunt/boating club right on (in) the river and these two fellows were hanging around the place. We didnt see them once the gig started (they may have been on the menu for the meal.....)

Rock’n’Roll lifestyle again!

We are back gigging! We are regulars in 3 bars now. Here is one of our posters from a pub just down the road we played in last Saturday. It all looked a bit rough at the start, but it all turned out great! The crowd was an odd looking bunch but came up trumps!

Yup, the no smoking regulations have kicked in here, and it seems to be working grand. 

I'm Back

Irish Bar in Perth

Here we are after our gig last night. We played pretty good, got the place hopping, and the management are going to have us on there every week, starting in a few weeks once they give the current band the heave-ho. Woo hoo! 

The Black Velvet Band ride again

We got our first gig in town (finally). All our gigs have been miles away for the last few months. http://www.jboreillys.com.au/ is an Irish bar in Perth that anyone who has passed through here would be familiar with. Its a pretty good place for food and beer (excellent pints of guinness) and tonight, they are featuring the worlds BEST irish band. Us. We are getting a night "on trial", and if it works out they will have us as a weekly group! Fingers crossed!

Here it is. The essential supplies for surviving abroad! Chipsticks. The ultimate crisp. Ultimate hangover cure, ultimate snack, ultimate desert, ultimate chips substitute when too rushed between gigs to wait for actual food. As one of the primary food sources, ithas infinite uses!

And the grand facilitators/deliverers of the package, the McCarthy brothers Declan and Sean. Over here for a week of golfing, leisure and booze.

More Dogbeach Action

In keeping with the trend of having at least 1 photo of Reilly per week on the blog, here is the latest one of us on the dog-beach last weekend. She is getting better at the whole retrieving thing, she now chases after the frisbee/ball/stick that you throw, and pickes it up, but thats where it stops, she doesnt know to return it yet. Actually, she is probably out-thinking me. She knows that if she brings it back, I am only going to throw it away again! Wow, she is so advanced!!!

Here is Jane, me Mom, Micheal, Declan and Sean. How many McCarthys can you fit around a table?! The lads arrived last night with a glorious bounty of chipsticks and barrys tea. Yum!

Reilly's Super Powers...

Well, I have Reilly trained to sit, to come when called in the park, high 5 with her paw (left and right) on command and not to beg or jump on the furniture. As you can clearly see in this photo, her dormant mutant abilities have begun to surface, most notably her Hypno-Laser Vision!!!! 

Buildings in Perth

Here is a good example of the architecture in Perth. You can see an old 'colonial' type building with one of the skyscrapers spiraling out of the back of it, and theres the building I work in to the right, just down the road a bit.

Moms Blog

Yet another photo robbed from my moms blog (http://suzukipat.blogspot.com/) here are the two of us in a winery in the Swan Vally here in Perth. We popped in for some wine and port tasting, and then went accross the road for handfulls of FREE chocolate and some hot chocolate and chocolate ice-cream. Chocolate chocolate chocolate.
