Flora update

The veggies are doing reasonably well, i am going to replant a new set for the upcoming spring/summer season. As you can see here the rocket has gone absolutely nuts!

And here is the lemon tree sporting a few flowers, indicating where lemons will be in a few months time

Whats on the menu this month

Just to keep everyone updated, the brew of the month is currently ULLA, a stout named after the battle cry of the martian invasion machines call from that war of the worlds gig I did and the other beer is a full malt wheat beer by the name of "Golden Sheaf". I have a few more kegs now so the stockpiling for the wedding of 2009 has begun.

Students Excuses

The dog ate it, i lost my books, we have tried them all. Check out this one though. In one of my schools, all the students have to fill in how much practice they do in a journal, check out this 6 year olds busy weel. 19 mins on wednesday, a full on 20 on thursday, a busy friday of watching football and a non stop 24 hour party on saturday it would seem. I had to leave the room to laugh at this one.

Last batch of party shots

Here is Adam and Steve in their regular day to day garb.....

Here is the other Adam, our mandolin player, who turns out is Ben Eltons brother in law. What are the odds!

Here is Faye and Barbera, our favourite octagenarians. They are nadines aunts and live just up the road. We first met them about a year ago at Fins christening. They LOVE parties and are great fun!

And here is Finny the Kid being helped up from the bar floor by a fellow cowboy after a busy cowboy day of boozing and gambling.

More party photos

Here is the wanted sign we had up all over the place. A bargain of a bounty too at $60.

The meeting of ethnic minoritys in the bar went well....

Jane and one of our harp friends Yi Yun provided the music early in the evening, then we had hank williams and other such western stuff piped through the band PA system for a few hours then Adam and out mandolin player did a set. Everyone thought it was great

School staff room

One of the schools I teach in has about 15 teaching rooms, all named after a famous composer. I get the kids to remember the names by making up stories like "Debussy was a famous composer who played the violin and liked chocolate cookies", that kinda stuff, they think its great. The staff room is particularly well named on account of how we all hide there between lessons.....

Last post of WOTW

The gig went really well last week, 15,000 people came and saw it. This is how close I was to the giant screens.

Here is the airlock we had to enter through. Just like doing a gig on a submarine!

And here is a shot from backstage just before we went on. Hello Perth!

Welcome to the wild west.....

Twas Janes dads 60th last weekend so we had a fancy dress suprise party for him, western theme.

we decked the bar out like a barn, bales all over the shop and even got a noose for the ceiling.

It all went well, everyone put in a real effort in the costumes and if anyone wants a good deal on straw I can help them out.......
