Non stop music
As if teaching and playing music all day wasnt enough, after a meal and a few drinks the other night, out come the instruments again as the greatest trio in the history of organised noise crank up a rendition of Sweet Georgia Brown
Here is Liam giving musical instructions to the troops, "high 2 Pat, high 2"!
And here we all are afterwards with leftover party hats form Finn's thomas the tank engine birthday party.
Guinness 250
4pm here in Perth on friday is the time of the global toast to Arthur Guinness. 250 years of making stout, and currently pumping out 10 million pints a day, thats fair going!

Beer naming evening
I named all my new beers last night, there was a fruity wheat beer called "Bedford Blonde", a belgian lager, which was an experimental new recepie I was going to use for closer to halloween called "Frank-in-stein" and a really nice dark ale which was fermenting whilst I was ill with the swine flu last month, so I called it "Swine Bru"
Here they all are mounted on the kegerator
And here we are in the kitchen testing out the "Bedford Blonde" in the portable system, as you can see Mick can hardly believe how good it is as he tries to stop his head from falling off.

Brewnight
Yup, about once a month I do a massive brew, all three fermenters get a reload as the kegs get put out to pasture.
Here I am working out the alcoholic content of the beer with a hydrometer
This is the best bit, the tasting.
And here are the ingredients. So in about a month we will be drinking a really smooth stout, a lofty wheat beer and a pretty fancy german lager.

Mind the STEP!!!!
We went to a new chinese restaurant last night and as I was going to the loo i came across this sign which really seemed to make a big deal about that little step. as the carpet transitioned to tiles. Big deal about a tiny step I thought as I stared at the sign whilst walking around the corner and tripped over THIS step (the actual step to beware of it seems)
Here is another view. I reckon the sign causes more trouble than the step itself.
The good book....
I had a few free hours on saturday between teaching and gigs so I decided to be creative.
Got a book for $1 from the charity shop up the road and began hacking away at it with the leatherman tool.
About 45 mins later after much shaving/cutting/ripping
And here is the finished product. Book club will be a lot more interesting from now on...

Concerto Night
It was concerto night at my school last night, where all the year 12's (final year in Australia) who study music get to play a concerto/piece with the orchestra. We had 14 pieces, from the Barber of Seville, right through to the Saint Saens cello Concerto.
Here is a photo of the back of my head
And these were the socks I was wearing. Thanks Sis!
