We had a pretty cushy gig these last few weeks in the Woodbridge Tavern in Guildford. Teamed up with a great guitarist and jazz crooner from the hills Brett, and jammed away for a few hours of jazz and light rock/blues on sunday evening. Very quiet gig and the freedom to play anything we liked. My favourite bit is when I sit down and look at this.
The fiddle and the pint, such a glorious combination of creativity and potential mischievousness, ensuring the musical tomfoolery is at the MAX. We had a competition in the second set that for each tune we play, we had to quote the last tune we played somewhere in the solo's. Hilarious interpretative consequences as 'summertime' melded with the doors classic 'come on baby light my fire'
Here it is again, just a little closer.... for effect.
I also brought my spare pint glass holder for Brett but he had been at a party the night before and was on the water.......poor effort!
